The Job Developer reports to the Case Supervisor / Assistant Center Manager and assists clients in making appropriate employment related goals and develops job opportunities while supervising residents in their daily activities and other direct services. 


1.  Provide delivery of services to residents specific to employment. 

2.  Maintain caseload of clients.

3.  Conduct resident assessments to determine employment, training and vocational needs.

4.  Conduct resident orientations pertaining to employment.

5.  Conduct individual and group trainings/seminars on job readiness, r?sum? preparation, interviewing skills, job search and employment.

6.  Develop employment opportunities by establishing links to employers in the community through in-person and telephonic outreach efforts. 

7.  Serve as a liaison between residents and employers to monitor job search/retention efforts.

8.  Make written notes on client behavior noting significant interventions.

9.  Document resident progress toward goals and maintain on-going communication with Probation/Parole regarding such progress/lack of progress.

10.  Assist Case Supervisor / Assistant Center Manager as directed.

11.  Will drive on Agency business as needed.

12.  Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.

13.  Comply with all Turning Point Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to: workplace safety, reporting work related injuries, Infection Control and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients and others.

14.  Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

  1.  Bachelor's in Social Sciences or a related field from an institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges; OR high school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in the duties of locating jobs for the general public or a specific population; OR one (1) year in conducting job search and retention workshops.

  2.  Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures and CPR.

  3.  Maintain any certification(s) required by the program.

  4.  Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  5.  Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. 

  6.  Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws.  Agency insurer authorization is required. 

  7.  Ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment physical, drug screen, and TB test.

  8.  Must maintain good relationships with consumers, co-workers, government and civic representatives, as well as community members within whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.
