The Employment Specialist reports to the Program
Administrator under the supervision of the Program Director. The Employment Specialist works cooperatively
with the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) in participant service delivery. The Employment Specialist works closely with
the employer community in the development of work experience opportunities for
program participants. The Employment
Specialist provides pre-employment skills training and job placement.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
employment and related workshops.
individual and group job-related instruction and mentoring.
job leads and arranges interviews.
volunteer and work experience site development.
case management services.
cooperatively with the MDT in participant service delivery.
the Silver Star Program weekly meeting.
and monitors all participant status rosters and related forms.
up new client files and performs file maintenance in accordance with
database of initial inquiry and placement statistics.
for in-house rosters and statistical report maintenance.
phone and handles or routes to appropriate staff.
program forms and updates hard copy binder.
and purchases client support service needs.
Employer and Community awareness education.
all office files.
all regulations and Turning Point personnel policies and procedures.
training seminars as required.
drive on Agency business.
and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at
Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time
and prepared to start working. Employees also are expected to remain at work
for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences
from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
school graduate; some business college preferred.
years' experience in a business office.
