JOB SUMMARY

The Client Services Provider reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the provision of life skills training and assistance and monitoring of clients in a permanent supportive housing facility for families with barriers to independence. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  Provide supervision and monitoring of residents.

  2.  Ensure that residents comply with schedules.

  3.  Make written notes to document client behavior as per contract requirements for the program.

  4.  Provide client transportation.

  5.  Answer the telephone and the door/gate.

  6.  Provide life skills training and assistance to residents.

  7.  Perform other resident monitoring activities.

  8.  Perform some filing and other general office duties.

  9.  Perform routine maintenance duties as needed.

  10.  Perform limited residential client assistance functions.

  11.  Maintain a clean work area and facility including the grounds; report any areas in need of repair or maintenance to the Program Director. 

  12.  Light maintenance and repairs of apartments. 

  13.  Handle furniture (moving, assembling, storing and maintaining furniture inventory).

  14.  Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies. 

  15.  Comply with all Turning Point Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to: workplace safety, reporting work related injuries, Infection Control and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients and others.

  16.  Will drive on Agency business.

  17.  Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  18.  Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1.  High school diploma or equivalent.

  2.  Two (2) years supervision experience or equivalent education/experience substitute.

  3.  Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures.

  4.  Detect and report resident rule violations as they occur.

  5.  Visually observe residents.

  6.  Work effectively and professionally with program clients and co-workers - this includes clients with alcohol/drug or mental health problems and children.

  7.  Report for work on short notice and to have communication facilities available that can be used to provide such notice.

  8.  Read and write English at an eighth grade level.

  9.  Legibly, accurately and appropriately document communications, behaviors and routine facility events as they occur.

  10.  Count and record census in the log if required.

  11.  Perform routine inspection of facility grounds.

  12.  Regularly observe the apartment grounds for the safety of children and adults

  13.  Ability to work overtime as required.

  14.  Ability to work in an environment where there are children of all ages and maintain a safe environment. 

  15.  Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  16.  Ability to operate within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. 

  17.  Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws.  Agency insurer authorization is required. 

  18.  Ability to pass a criminal background check.

  19.  Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, general physical, and TB test.

  20.  Must maintain good relationships with consumers, co-workers, government and civic representatives, as well as community members within whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.
